EMPLOYMENT TYPE

One-year, fixed-term contract.

WHO WE ARE AND HOW THIS ROLE FITS IN

Our teams cover the gamut for our clients – strategy, brand, creative, social, digital, web, UI/UX, CX and more. We’re privately owned, and we’ve been around for 21 years, with a history that goes back to 1980. We have team members, clients and partners of all shapes and sizes, and we’re proud of it – and we’re looking to add to our award-winning team. We work hybrid from our HQ in Vaughan, Ontario, and we work collaboratively to tell stories. We thrive on pushing limits we have the personalities, creativity, thoughtfulness and energy needed to separate our clients from the flock.

THIS IS THE ROLE YOU’LL HAVE

We’re looking for an experienced Media Planner with strong project management skills to join our team. This role is focused on traditional and alternative media – we need someone who knows out-of-home, transit, cinema, gaming and influencer media, to name a few, inside and out, and has the vendor relationships and production know-how to bring those plans to life across Ontario. You’ll own media plans from recommendation through to in-market execution, keeping multiple campaigns on schedule and on budget while working closely with our creative, strategy and account teams. Please note: this is not a digital marketing, social media management or paid search role. This is a one-year, fixed-term contract role.

THIS IS WHAT YOU WOULD BE DOING

  • Develop and execute media strategies and channel plans with a focus on traditional and alternative media – OOH, transit (bus, shelter and subway), cinema (e.g., Cineplex), in-game and esports, influencer partnerships, radio, print, place-based media and more.
  • Conduct audience research, flighting, and forecasting to build plans that reach audiences where they live, work, commute and play.
  • Develop and present media recommendations aligned with client objectives and budgets.
  • Manage partner outreach, negotiate rates and added value, and secure placements with media owners.
  • Identify and vet influencers and content creators; manage contracts, briefs, content approvals and posting schedules.
  • Create and manage detailed project timelines – from bookings and creative deadlines through to material delivery, installation and proof of posting.
  • Collaborate with creative and studio teams to confirm media specs, production requirements and material deadlines for flawless execution.
  • Manage media budgets, tracking costs and ensuring accurate invoicing and reconciliation throughout campaigns.
  • Act as the main point of contact between internal teams, vendors and clients for all media deliverables.
  • Monitor campaigns in market, proactively identifying and resolving issues or roadblocks.
  • Deliver post-campaign reporting and media insights, capturing learnings to improve future plans.
  • Stay current on Ontario media opportunities and leverage industry relationships to secure optimal placements.

YOU’RE THE RIGHT PERSON IF YOU HAVE THESE QUALIFICATIONS

  • University degree or college diploma in marketing, advertising, communications, or related field.
  • 5+ years of media planning and buying experience within an agency or media environment, with a focus on traditional and alternative media.
  • Hands-on experience planning and executing OOH, transit, cinema, gaming/esports and influencer campaigns
  • Established relationships with Ontario media vendors and media owners.
  • Proven project management experience – managing multiple campaigns, timelines, budgets and stakeholders at once.
  • Strong negotiation, organizational and budget management skills.

YOU’RE THE RIGHT PERSON IF YOU HAVE THESE QUALITIES

  • Highly organized and detail-oriented – you never miss a booking or material deadline.
  • Excellent communication, presentation and relationship-building skills.
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions.
  • You have knowledge and interest in current media and industry trends.
  • Positive, proactive, and solutions-oriented attitude.
  • Self-starter who thrives independently and as part of a team.

THIS IS WHAT YOU’LL GET

  • Be part of a growing agency with a passion for innovation and creativity.
  • A competitive salary
  • A collaborative, fun, and inclusive work culture.
  • A great work experience with an amazing team
