What We're Looking For:

The System Engineering Architect II independently executes system engineering work packages for chiller and electrified heating systems. This role contributes to system design, integration, testing, and optimization while collaborating cross-functionally to ensure performance, efficiency, and compliance targets are achieved. Direct, hands-on experience in chiller or HVAC/R system design is required

This role is 100% on site and you'll be expected to work on a daily basis, side-by-side, with your team.

What You'll Do:

Define and execute assigned system engineering work packages with minimal supervision.
Develop system-level specifications, performance targets, and functional requirements.
Perform detailed HVAC/R thermodynamic cycle analysis and chiller/heat-pump system performance modeling.
Evaluate and select major chiller and HVAC system components to meet performance, efficiency, cost, and manufacturability targets.
Review and validate refrigerant and hydronic schematics, P&IDs, and equipment layouts for functionality, performance, and serviceability.
Lead portions of prototype build support, commissioning, and validation testing.
Analyze test results, identify performance gaps, and implement corrective actions.
Support troubleshooting and root cause analysis for system-level issues.
Contribute to process improvements and engineering efficiency initiatives.
Support certification and compliance activities (e.g., UL, ASHRAE, ASME).

Demonstrated, hands-on experience in chiller and/or HVAC/R system design is required.
Proficiency in HVAC/R system performance analysis, thermodynamic modeling, and optimization.
Experience supporting chiller or HVAC prototype builds, commissioning, testing, and validation.
Working knowledge of applicable HVAC/R standards and regulatory requirements.
Collaborates effectively with cross-functional stakeholders to execute defined work packages.
Communicates technical concepts, assumptions, and findings clearly to engineering and non-engineering audiences.
Exercises sound technical judgment within defined scope and escalates risks appropriately.
Performs effectively in dynamic, fast-paced environments with competing priorities.
Takes ownership of deliverables and manages responsibilities with minimal supervision.
Primarily office-based work with extended computer use, occasional movement within manufacturing environments, visual focus on detailed designs, light physical activity during prototype reviews, and limited travel as required.

Education and Experience:

Principales Responsabilités

Définir et exécuter les packages de travail d'ingénierie système assignés avec une supervision minimale.
Développer des spécifications au niveau du système, des objectifs de performance et des exigences fonctionnelles.
Effectuer une analyse détaillée des cycles thermodynamiques CVAC/R ainsi qu'une modélisation des performances des systèmes de refroidisseurs/pompes à chaleur.
Évaluez et sélectionnez les principaux composants des systèmes de refroidissement et CVC afin de respecter les objectifs de performance, d'efficacité, de coûts et de fabricabilité.
Examinez et validez les schémas des réfrigérants et hydronics, les P&ID, ainsi que les agencements des équipements pour en assurer leur fonctionnalité, leurs performances et leur facilité de service.
Dirigez les parties du support de construction du prototype, de la mise en service et des tests de validation.
Analysez les résultats des tests, identifiez les lacunes de performance et mettez en œuvre des actions correctives.
Soutenir le dépannage et l'analyse des causes profondes pour les problèmes au niveau système.
Contribuer à l'amélioration des procédés et aux initiatives d'efficacité de l'ingénierie.
