Here’s a preview of what you’ll be doing

The Quality Engineer Technologist’s primary objective is to act as the technical member of the Quality team to ensure compliance with the manufactured product to established technical requirements by participating in design reviews and verifications of engineering package for manufacturability, test, and component reliability.

They will also be responsible for investigation and follow-up for implementation of field failures, RMA, and/or shop floor technical issues related to major suppliers’ failures with the goal of driving continuous improvement within product line.

What You'll Do:

Analyze process data and identify trends or variation
Implement error-proofing (Poka-Yoke) solutions
Validate process changes through trials and capability studies
To establish the fundamentals of system and components reliability.
Lead the critical issues resolution in the product life cycle;
Support investigations for:
- Major technical nonconformances
- Customer complaints and/or field failures
Use structured problem-solving tools:
- 8D
- 5 Whys
- Fishbone (Ishikawa)
Develop, implement, and verify corrective and preventive actions (CAPA)
Ensure containment actions are immediate and effective
Support supplier audits as required
Participate in supplier corrective action reviews
Partner with Supplier Quality or Procurement on defect reduction as applicable to related field failures
Maintain quality records and documentation control
Lead SMARDT team for QUASAR audit process to obtain 90% approval

Other related tasks and projects as required.

What You'll Bring:

Skills and Competencies:

Bilingual (English/French) *see note below
Functional technical knowledge of HVAC equipment.(It’s a plus, not a must)
Quality systems experience in a manufacturing environment.
+5 years in a similar, and relevant manufacturing environment
Able to review technical related reports related to field failures
Experience conducting root cause analysis and corrective actions, 8D
Experience in leading ISO and process audits across the organization.
Ability to work in an industrial manufacturing environment.
Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.

Education and Experience:

Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering or any other relevant education.
OIQ certification or, in progress towards certification (an asset)
Six Sigma, Kaizen, ISO (a strongly preferred asset)

Résumé du Rôle

L'objectif de l'ingénieur(e) en qualité est d'intervenir en tant que membre technique de l'équipe qualité afin de garantir la conformité du produit fabriqué aux exigences techniques établies, en participant aux revues de conception et aux vérifications du dossier technique en matière de fabricabilité, d'essais et de fiabilité des composants.

Il sera également chargé d'enquêter et d'assurer le suivi de la mise en œuvre des mesures correctives concernant les défaillances sur le terrain, les retours de marchandise (RMA) et/ou les problèmes techniques en atelier liés aux défaillances des principaux fournisseurs, dans le but de favoriser l'amélioration continue au sein de la gamme de produits.

Vos missions :

Analyser les données de processus et identifier les tendances ou les variations
Mettre en œuvre des solutions de prévention des erreurs (Poka-Yoke)
Valider les changements de processus par des essais et des études de capabilité
Établir les principes fondamentaux de la fiabilité des systèmes et des composants.
Diriger la résolution des problèmes critiques tout au long du cycle de vie du produit ;
Apporter votre soutien aux enquêtes concernant :
- Les non-conformités techniques majeures
- Les réclamations clients et/ou les défaillances sur le terrain
Utiliser des outils structurés de résolution de problèmes :
- 8D
- Les 5 pourquoi
- Le diagramme en arête de poisson (Ishikawa)
Élaborer, mettre en œuvre et vérifier les actions correctives et préventives (CAPA)
Veiller à ce que les mesures de confinement soient immédiates et efficaces
Apporter votre soutien aux audits fournisseurs selon les besoins
Participer aux revues des actions correctives des fournisseurs
Collaborer avec le service Qualité fournisseurs ou Achats sur la réduction des défauts, le cas échéant, en lien avec les défaillances sur site
Tenir à jour les registres qualité et assurer le contrôle de la documentation
Diriger l’équipe SMARDT pour le processus d’audit QUASAR afin d’obtenir un taux d’approbation de 90 %

Ce que vous apportez :

Compétences et aptitudes :

Connaissances techniques fonctionnelles des équipements CVC (c'est un atout, pas une obligation)
Expérience des systèmes qualité dans un environnement de fabrication.
Plus de 5 ans d'expérience dans un environnement de fabrication similaire et pertinent
