Original job description
What you’ll do
- Design and maintain CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins, Azure DevOps, Argo CD) that take code from commit to production safely
- Provision cloud infrastructure on AWS, Azure, or GCP with Terraform, Pulumi, Bicep, or CloudFormation, with every change reviewed and versioned
- Run containerized workloads on Docker and Kubernetes (EKS, AKS, GKE), including Helm charts and GitOps workflows
- Automate configuration, patching, environment setup, and onboarding with Python, Bash, Go, or Ansible
- Build self-service tooling and “golden paths” so developers can spin up environments without filing tickets
- Build observability with Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog, ELK, or OpenTelemetry, with alerts that mean something
- Embed security into delivery (DevSecOps): secrets management, image and dependency scanning, policy-as-code, and least-privilege access
- Support compliance requirements (SOC 2, PIPEDA, and industry-specific rules) with automated evidence instead of manual screenshots
- Improve release safety with canary deployments, feature flags, and automated rollbacks
- Reduce cloud spend through right-sizing, scheduling, and cost visibility (FinOps)
- Use AI-assisted tooling to speed up pipeline troubleshooting, code review, and incident analysis
- Document systems and teach teams to use what you build
- Partner with developers, QA, security, and SRE to remove friction wherever you find it
