What you’ll do
- Design, build, test, and ship features across our web, mobile, and backend platforms
- Write clean, maintainable code in languages such as JavaScript/TypeScript, Python, Java, C#, Go, or Kotlin, using the stack that best fits the problem
- Build and consume REST and GraphQL APIs, and work with relational and NoSQL databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB)
- Develop front-end experiences with React, Angular, or Vue, with attention to performance and accessibility
- Deploy on AWS, Azure, or GCP using Docker and CI/CD pipelines so releases are routine, not stressful
- Write automated tests and take part in thoughtful, friendly code reviews
- Work in Agile teams with product managers, designers, and QA from idea to launch
- Monitor, debug, and improve live systems, and help make them more reliable and secure
- Pay down tech debt on purpose, with time planned into every sprint
- Share what you learn through pairing, demos, documentation, and tech talks

- Developer I - 0-2 years : Well-scoped features and fixes, learning our codebase with a dedicated mentor and regular code review
- Developer II - 2-5 years : Delivering features end to end, designing APIs and data models, reviewing code, mentoring newer developers
- Senior Developer - 5+ years : Architecting systems, setting technical direction, leading projects, raising the engineering bar across teams
Promotion criteria are written down at every level, with regular career conversations so you always know what’s next. You can grow as a technical expert or move into leadership. Both paths are real here.
What you bring
Must have
- Solid programming fundamentals: data structures, algorithms, and object-oriented or functional design
- Professional, co-op, or project experience in at least one modern language and framework
- Working knowledge of databases, APIs, and version control with Git
- A habit of testing your work and explaining your decisions clearly
- Curiosity and a willingness to keep learning
- Degree or diploma in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience. Bootcamp graduates and self-taught developers are welcome. We hire for skill, not pedigree.
- Legal authorization to work in Canada (citizens, permanent residents, and valid work permit holders)
Nice to have (not required)
- Experience with cloud platforms, microservices, or event-driven systems
- Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform, or other DevOps tooling
- Understanding of secure coding practices (OWASP, OAuth2)
- Open-source contributions, GitHub projects, hackathon wins, or apps you’ve shipped
- Co-op or internship experience at a software company
- Industry experience in [fintech, healthcare, SaaS, e-commerce, etc.]
- Fluency in French, an asset for roles serving Quebec or bilingual customers [if applicable]
