As a Caustic Bay Attendant, you'll play an important role in supporting our Reman operations by ensuring parts and components are cleaned, prepared, and ready for the next stage of the rebuild process. Base Wage: $33.35 per hour. Additional premiums apply.
Location: Acheson, AB.
Schedule: 7x7
What You’ll Do
- Prepare, and wash industrial equipment parts and components using a caustic washer.
- Monitor and adjust caustic chemical levels in the washer as required.
- Organize, load, unload, and buff parts and components.
- Perform routine maintenance on the washer and related equipment.
- Complete general shop housekeeping and labour support duties.
- Follow all workplace health and safety policies and procedures.
What You Bring
You bring a high school diploma (or equivalent), at least 1 year of experience working in a wash bay or caustic bay environment, and mechanical aptitude or previous mechanical experience. You take pride in working safely, independently, and as part of a team while contributing to quality results.
- Valid Class 5 driver's license.
- Ability to safely operate a forklift and overhead crane.
- Strong communication, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage daily priorities effectively.
- Effective interpersonal skills with the ability to work positively with a variety of individuals and teams.
- Strong work ethic and commitment to quality workmanship.
- Demonstrated commitment to workplace health and safety.
