We are looking for a Manager, Equipment Financing (internally titled Regional Manager, Equipment Finance) to lead our Equipment Finance team and support equipment sales through customer-focused financing solutions.
Reporting to the Senior Director, Credit & Equipment Finance, you will lead a team of Equipment Finance Representatives while partnering closely with Sales, Operations, customers, and external finance providers. This role is ideal for an experienced leader who enjoys developing people, building relationships, and helping close complex equipment financing transactions.
Location: Acheson, AB.
Salary: $110,000–$130,000 annually, plus incentive plan.
Work arrangement: Hybrid – providing the flexibility to work remotely up to 2 days per week.
Schedule: Monday to Friday.
What You'll Do
- Lead, coach, and mentor the Equipment Finance team, supporting employee development and overall department effectiveness.
- Build a collaborative, sales-oriented team environment focused on responsiveness, accuracy, and the customer experience.
- Partner with Sales and Operations to identify financing and leasing solutions that support equipment purchases.
- Provide leadership on larger or more complex financing transactions, helping navigate difficult requirements and move opportunities toward successful completion.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, internal partners, equipment finance companies, and other external financing providers.
- Negotiate financing terms and develop solutions using available finance programs and alternative financing sources.
- Ensure the Sales team is informed about current finance programs and understands how they may be applied.
- Educate employees and customers on available financing and leasing options.
- Review customer financial and credit information to support risk assessment and financing decisions.
- Ensure financing information and documentation are completed accurately to support a positive customer experience and timely completion of sales.
- Contribute to departmental goals, strategic planning, process improvement, and special projects.
What You Bring
The ideal candidate will bring a minimum of 5 years of leadership experience and 7 years of experience in equipment financing within the heavy equipment, construction, leasing, or equipment finance industry. We welcome candidates with other equivalent combinations of leadership and financing experience that demonstrate the ability to successfully lead this function.
Additional qualifications include:
- Demonstrated experience leading, coaching, and developing a team of equipment financing professionals.
- Strong understanding of equipment financing, leasing structures, and financing documentation.
- A strong sales mindset, with the ability to identify financing solutions that support customer needs and business growth.
- Proven ability to build relationships and partner effectively with Sales teams, customers, and external finance providers.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and influencing skills.
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy when working with financial information and documentation.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and other business technology applications.
- Ability to work from the Edmonton area or relocate to the region.
- CPA, MBA, or other related finance or accounting credentials are considered assets.
- Bilingual English/French capabilities, FINTRAC experience, and the ability to travel to the United States, including Alaska, are considered assets.
