Role Description The Temporary Warehouse Technician is a full-time, on-site role located in the Greater Saskatoon Metropolitan Area. This role is responsible for daily warehouse operations, including receiving incoming shipments, unloading and checking materials, and preparing orders for packing and dispatch. The technician will organize stock, maintain accurate inventory records, and ensure materials are stored safely and efficiently. Additional duties include operating material handling equipment, following safety procedures, assisting with cycle counts, and supporting shipping and receiving documentation. The role works closely with warehouse and logistics team members to maintain a clean, orderly, and compliant work environment.
Qualifications
- Experience with Shipping & Receiving processes, including verifying shipments and preparing documentation.
- Proficiency in Packing and Unloading tasks, ensuring orders are prepared, loaded, and handled safely.
- Knowledge of Inventory Control practices, including stock organization, cycle counts, and record accuracy.
- Skills in Material Handling, including safe use of pallet jacks, forklifts, or other warehouse equipment.
- Strong attention to detail, reliability, and ability to follow standardized procedures and safety protocols.
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting and standing for extended periods.
- Basic computer skills and familiarity with warehouse or ERP systems are an asset.
- Previous warehouse or industrial equipment experience is preferred; relevant certifications (e.g., forklift) are an advantage.
