Forklift Operator: Guelph, Ontario
Summary:
The Forklift Operator will be responsible for the overall shipping/receiving requirements. Must ensure the correct operation of the duties and processes inside the department. The position requires for most of work to be performed operating a forklift. The tasks required to be performed will constantly vary within a work period. This position is for the afternoon shift.
Job Duties:
- Load product into trucks by utilizing a forklift truck
- Verifies accuracy of inbound and outbound shipments
- Prepares and processes reports
- Distributes product to stock locations
- Organized, detail-oriented
- Collects product required for orders
- Inspects packaging and product for damage
- Processes proper documentation required for all shipping/receiving needs
- Aware and practices a safe work-environment at all times
- Maintains work areas by keeping it clean and organized
- Other duties related to the job
Requirements:
- Excellent eye for detail
- Able to perform physical work throughout the day
- Able to work in an environment where there could be a high degree of variation, noise and dust
- Excellent team worker
- Ability to work overtime as required
- Excellent attendance is required to fulfill operational needs
