The role is responsible for maintaining compliance with Health Canada regulations, Good Production Practices (GPP), Good Documentation Practices (GDP), and SNDL quality standards, while potentially serving as the designated Quality Assurance Person (QAP) or Alternate Quality Assurance Person (AQAP).

Oversee deviation investigations, CAPAs, complaints, and internal audits to ensure timely resolution and compliance
Lead quality risk management activities for cannabis processing and edible-product operations, including hazard analysis and the identification, implementation, and verification of critical control measures.
Monitor and report on quality performance metrics, identifying trends and areas for improvement
Collaborate cross-functionally with operations, commercial, and innovation to support product development and process optimization
Support vendor quality activities in partnership with the B2B Quality Manager, including qualification, monitoring, and issue resolution
Champion the use of eQMS and other quality tools to strengthen documentation, traceability, and compliance
Support training programs to ensure employees understand and meet quality and regulatory expectations
Contribute to recruitment, onboarding, and development of Quality team members

Qualifications

5–8 years of experience in a Quality Assurance role within a regulated industry

Post-secondary education in science, food science, quality, manufacturing, or a related field.

Demonstrated success leading, coaching, and developing a Quality team in a regulated production environment, including setting clear expectations, building accountability, managing performance, and developing team capability.
Strong organizational and prioritization skills in a fast-paced environment
Effective project management capabilities
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
Demonstrates professionalism, integrity, and a commitment to quality and teamwork
