Electrical Engineer and Project Manager, BESS

Key Responsibilities for this Role:

• Lead BESS project design and execution.
• Develop electrical designs and specifications.
• Perform power system and distribution studies.
• Ensure compliance with codes and standards.
• Manage project schedules, budgets, and resources.
• Coordinate with engineering, sales, and production teams.
• Support customer and partner technical discussions.
• Prepare technical documents and reports.
• Review electrical drawings and deliverables.
• Support installation and commissioning activities.
• Troubleshoot technical and operational issues.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives.
• Support new product development.
• Provide technical guidance to internal teams and customers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering (automation knowledge would be an additional advantage)
• P.Eng. designation or in progress eligibility is an asset
• 5 years’ experience in projects management, design and deployment (e.g., Energy storage systems, power generation, renewable energies, power distribution, power conversion, switchgear, UPS systems, static transfer switches, inverters, etc.)
• Experienced in the standards and codes related to energy storage, renewable energies and low voltage systems (products & installation levels).
