Original job description

About Us Softdrive is a startup on a mission to make powerful compute accessible to every enterprise, without the complexity or cost that has defined the VDI industry for decades. We build and stream high-performance virtual desktops to any device, across cloud, on-premises, and hybrid environments, so teams can stay productive from anywhere without being constrained by their hardware. Our performance is 5x faster and our setup time is 80% shorter than the legacy industry players. We deliver the lowest total cost of ownership in the market, handle GPU- and CPU-intensive workloads at scale, and eliminate the burden of physical hardware management. We’re proud to build in partnership with Oracle, NVIDIA, and Autodesk. Joining Softdrive means working on hard infrastructure problems that actually matter, at a company early enough that your work shapes the product, the team, and the culture. We move fast, operate with high ownership, and are building something the industry's biggest players haven't been able to crack. About the Role Softdrive is targeting mid-to-enterprise organizations with 200-10,000 VMs within the AEC, media & entertainment, healthcare, and call centers markets - who are actively looking to move off legacy virtual desktop platforms amid rising costs and aging infrastructure. We're hiring an Account Executive to manage the full sales cycle end to end, from self-sourced prospecting through close. At our current stage, this role combines what would traditionally be split across a BDR and an AE: you'll generate a meaningful share of your own pipeline alongside working qualified opportunities. You'll own complex, multi-stakeholder deal cycles from first outreach through close, and work closely with the CEO to help refine a sales motion in a fast-paced, high-growth environment. Key Responsibilities Build and manage a self-sourced pipeline through targeted outbound prospecting, alongside working inbound and marketing-qualified opportunities Lead complex, multi-stakeholder sales cycles involving IT, security, and procurement across multiple verticals and industries Build and defend Softdrive's value proposition against legacy incumbent solutions with a rip-and-replace narrative Navigate technical evaluations and proof-of-concepts in partnership with Solutions Engineering Accurately forecast pipeline and maintain CRM hygiene Contribute to sales enablement, competitive positioning, and playbook development as an early GTM hire Partner with Customer Success to ensure a smooth handoff and identify expansion potential post-close About You Requirements & Qualifications 5+ years of full-cycle enterprise SaaS sales experience, consistently meeting or exceeding quota Experience selling VDI, DaaS, or EUC solutions Comfortable navigating long, multi-stakeholder sales cycles and $100k+ ACV deals Strong consultative selling skills; able to speak credibly to both technical and business stakeholders Experience working in or with a channel/partner-led GTM motion Self-starter comfortable building process in an early-stage, high-ambiguity environment Nice-to-Have Experience selling infrastructure, cloud, virtualization, or other technical/IT products to enterprise buyers Experience self-sourcing a significant share of pipeline through outbound prospecting, not just working inbound leads Track record of displacing incumbent vendors or selling into competitive, rip-and-replace situations Experience in AEC, media & entertainment, healthcare, and/or call center verticals Experience at a Seed or Series A-stage startup **Salary range below is OTE. The compensation structure follows a 50/50 variable-to-base split.
