We’re hiring: Business Analyst | Payments & API Integration
📍 Toronto, ON | Contract, 6+ months]
Soho Square Solutions is looking for a Business Analyst to support a payments-focused program for one of our BFSI clients. You’ll sit between business stakeholders and engineering, turning payment requirements into clear, testable specs for API-driven integrations.
What you’ll do
- Gather and document business and functional requirements for payment flows
- Write API integration specs, data mappings, and interface requirements
- Work with developers, architects, and QA to clarify requirements and resolve gaps
- Map payment messages and data fields across systems and partners
- Support UAT, defect triage, and sign-off
What we’re looking for
- Hands-on BA experience on API integration projects (REST/JSON, Swagger/OpenAPI, Postman or similar)
- Payments domain background: card, ACH, wires, RTP, or cross-border
- Working knowledge of ISO payment standards, ideally ISO 20022 (pacs, pain, camt) and/or ISO 8583
- Strong documentation skills: BRDs, FRDs, user stories, process flows
- Comfortable working directly with technical and business teams
Nice to have
- Experience with payment migrations or ISO 20022 adoption programs
- Agile delivery experience (Jira, Confluence)
