Java Developer
Location: Montreal, QC (Hybrid - 3 Days/Week Onsite)
Experience: 7-15 Years
Schedule: Occasional Production Support Rotation
Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Java Developer to join a dynamic technology team responsible for building, enhancing, and supporting business-critical enterprise applications. The ideal candidate will have strong backend development expertise, excellent problem-solving skills, and experience delivering scalable solutions in Agile environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, deploy, and support enterprise applications using Java 17+ and Spring Boot.
- Build and maintain RESTful APIs and backend services.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders, product owners, and technical teams to gather requirements and deliver effective solutions.
- Participate in the full Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), including analysis, design, development, testing, deployment, and production support.
- Drive engineering best practices around code quality, automation, performance, resiliency, and operational excellence.
- Contribute to modernization initiatives and continuous improvement efforts.
Required Skills
- Strong hands-on experience with Java 17+, Spring Boot, and REST APIs.
- Solid knowledge of SQL, Relational Databases, and Object-Oriented Design Principles.
- Experience with Automated Testing, CI/CD Pipelines, and Agile Methodologies.
- Strong troubleshooting, debugging, and production support skills.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with Kafka, Elasticsearch, Angular, Microservices Architecture, Cloud Platforms, and DevOps Practices.
- Exposure to OpenTelemetry or observability tools is a plus.
- Experience working in large-scale enterprise environments is highly desirable.
