The Role
As Director, Deployment Operations, you'll own Solink's end-to-end sales-to-deployment operating model, from the moment a deal closes to the point a customer is live, supported and generating recurring revenue. Our Deployment function has grown in scale, complexity and strategic importance, and this role exists to lead it into its next chapter.
You'll lead a team across three focus areas: Deployment Execution, Optimization & Automation, and Operations Enablement. You'll be accountable for the overall function and driving major automation and process-improvement initiatives and partnering with senior leaders across the organization to improve planning, quality, scalability and accountability.
This is an opportunity for an operations leader who's energized by building systems that scale, raising the bar on execution and connecting operational performance directly to ARR growth.
What You’ll Do
Own the sales-to-deployment operating model: Define and continuously improve how work flows from Sales through Deployment to Support, including handoffs, planning, capacity, quality standards and accountability at every stage.
Lead and develop a high-performing leadership team: Lead Managers across Deployment Execution, Optimization & Automation, and Enablement & Cross-Functional. Set clear goals, coach for growth and build a leadership bench that can scale with the business.
Drive operational transformation: Lead major automation, tooling and process-improvement initiatives that increase throughput, reduce cycle time and improve the customer deployment experience.
Deliver on ARR: Ensure deployments are executed on time and at quality so that contracted revenue converts to recurring revenue predictably. Own the metrics, forecasting and reporting that connect operations to financial outcomes.
Partner across the organization: Work closely with senior leaders in Sales, Customer Success, Support, Product and Finance to align on planning, resolve cross-functional friction and make Deployment a strategic lever for the business.
Establish governance and operational rigour: Set the standards, SOPs, KPIs and reporting cadence that give leadership clear visibility into deployment health, capacity and risk.
Oversee partner and field strategy: Guide how Solink works with installation partners and field resources, including partner enablement, performance management and relationship health.
Serve as the senior escalation point: Own resolution of high-impact customer and operational escalations, and turn recurring issues into systemic fixes.
Role Expectations
This is an M4 level role. At Solink, individuals at this level serve as a strategic advisor within a department, who is confident acting as their executive leader’s right hand within their functional area and is able to set cross-functional direction in collaboration with departments within the organization.
In this role, you'll be expected to:
Set the vision and multi-quarter roadmap for the Deployment function and translate it into clear priorities for your managers.
Operate with a high degree of autonomy, making decisions that shape how the function runs and how it interacts with the rest of the business.
Influence senior stakeholders across functions, building alignment on shared goals, processes and trade-offs.
Balance near-term delivery with long-term investment in automation, tooling and scalability.
Build a culture of ownership, quality and continuous improvement across the Deployment team.
What success looks like:
Deployment cycle times, on-time delivery and quality metrics improve measurably, and ARR from new deals is realized faster and more predictably.
Key automation and process-improvement initiatives are delivered, reducing manual effort and allowing the function to scale without proportional headcount growth.
Sales, Deployment, Support and other partners operate from a shared planning model with clear handoffs, visible accountability and fewer escalations.
What You Bring
Must-Have:
8+ years in operations, deployment, implementation or professional services, including 3+ years leading managers or multi-team functions.
A proven track record of designing and scaling an end-to-end operating model in a high-growth B2B technology, SaaS or hardware-enabled services environment.
Demonstrated success leading process-improvement and automation initiatives with measurable impact on efficiency, quality or revenue.
Strong analytical and business acumen, with experience owning KPIs, capacity planning and operational reporting tied to financial outcomes such as ARR.
Excellent cross-functional leadership and communication skills, with the credibility to influence senior leaders and drive alignment.
Nice-to-Have:
Experience in physical security, video surveillance, IoT or other field-deployed technology.
Experience managing installation partner or channel networks across multiple regions.
Familiarity with operations tooling and automation platforms (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot, NetSuite, Asana, Jira, n8n or similar).
Background in Lean, Six Sigma or other formal continuous-improvement methodologies.
