Original job description

Accounting Manager - Leadership Opportunity

Sound CPA | Owen Sound, Ontario

Grow your career. Share in our success. Make room for the life you want.

You’ve built a strong foundation in public accounting. You can manage engagements, earn clients’ trust, and help a team deliver quality work. Now you’re ready for greater responsibility, more influence, and the opportunity to share in the success you help create.

Sound CPA is growing, and we’re adding an experienced Accounting Manager to support our expanding practice and client base.

If you’re working at a mid-sized or larger firm and considering your next move, this is an opportunity to work directly with the partners, influence how the practice operates, and build lasting relationships with the businesses you advise.

Why make the move to Owen Sound?

Located on Georgian Bay, Owen Sound offers an appealing setting for your next chapter: waterfronts, trails, and outdoor recreation alongside an established business community.

For someone relocating from Toronto or the GTA, the potential for more attainable homeownership and a shorter local commute can make a meaningful difference. Whether you want more space, stronger community connections, or easier access to the outdoors, there’s plenty to build a life around here.

Build a rewarding public accounting career in a community where you can put down roots.

Why join Sound CPA?

Share in our success. Competitive compensation plus profit sharing, giving you a financial stake in the firm’s success.

Join a growing practice. This position is being created to support continued growth, with opportunities to take on greater responsibility as the firm expands.

Work directly with the partners. Contribute to decisions about clients, people, service delivery, and firm growth.

Lead meaningful client relationships. Become a trusted adviser to business owners, with involvement beyond the year-end file.

Make a visible impact. Bring your ideas, improve how we work, and see the results of your contribution.

Develop as a leader. Expand your experience in team management, client advisory, and practice operations.

Now you made it this far
