We are seeking a detail-oriented and innovative Contract Services – Pricing Specialist to support our Business Development team in Saint John, NB.
Summary:
Reporting to the Contract Services Manager, the Contract Services – Pricing Specialist supports strategic growth initiatives by coordinating pricing, quoting, and contract administration activities across a diverse portfolio of products and suppliers. This role combines analytical thinking, attention to detail, and strong collaboration skills to deliver competitive customer solutions and support successful contract outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare accurate and competitive quotes, bids, tenders, and pricing submissions in support of business development and customer contract opportunities.
- Gather, analyze, and validate pricing, product, and vendor information to ensure submissions meet customer requirements and company standards.
- Manage quote requests through completion, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and adherence to established deadlines.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation related to quoting activities, pricing decisions, contracts, and vendor communications.
- Liaise with vendors and internal stakeholders to obtain information, resolve discrepancies, and support the successful execution of customer contracts.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Business Development, Procurement, Customer Service, and Operations, to support customer and organizational objectives.
- Assist in the administration and maintenance of customer contracts, pricing agreements, and related business documentation.
- Monitor and maintain pricing data within company systems to support consistency, accuracy, and operational effectiveness.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives that enhance quoting processes, contract administration, data quality, and customer service.
- Provide administrative support, reporting, and other duties as required.
Qualifications:
- 2+ years of experience in quoting, pricing, contract administration, procurement support, RFQs, tenders, vendor quotations, or a related business support role
- Experience in wholesale distribution, manufacturing, industrial supply, or a related industry is considered an asset
- Post-secondary education in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Commerce, or a related field is preferred
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills, with the ability to gather and interpret pricing and vendor information
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in pricing, documentation, and data management
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and perform effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across teams and with vendors
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint
- Comfortable using multiple systems, vendor portals, and AI-enabled tools
In accordance with the provincial wage transparency requirements, the expected base compensation for this position is between $50,000 - $65,000 (or more), depending on relevant experience, technical competencies, certifications, etc.
