Business Analyst

Key Responsibilities

• Gather, analyze, and document business requirements from stakeholders.
• Conduct requirement-gathering sessions, interviews, workshops, and discussions.
• Translate business requirements into clear functional and technical requirements.
• Create Business Requirement Documents (BRD), Functional Requirement Documents (FRD), user stories, use cases, and process flows.
• Analyze existing business processes and identify opportunities for improvement.
• Create As-Is and To-Be process flows and identify gaps.
• Work closely with developers, QA teams, product managers, and business stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.
• Define acceptance criteria and ensure requirements are clearly understood by development and testing teams.
• Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and coordinate with stakeholders for validation and sign-off.
• Perform data analysis and prepare reports or insights to support business decisions.
• Identify dependencies, risks, assumptions, and potential impacts of proposed solutions.
• Track requirements throughout the project lifecycle and manage requirement changes.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies such as Sprint Planning, Daily Stand-ups, Backlog Refinement, Sprint Reviews, and Retrospectives.
• Assist Product Owners and Project Managers with backlog management and prioritization.
• Prepare presentations and communicate findings and recommendations to stakeholders.
• Ensure delivered solutions meet the agreed business requirements.

Required Skills

• Strong experience in requirements gathering and business process analysis.
• Excellent documentation skills with experience creating BRDs, FRDs, user stories, use cases, and process flows.
• Strong knowledge of SDLC and software development methodologies.
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
• Ability to create user stories with clear acceptance criteria.
• Good knowledge of Jira, Confluence, or similar tools.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Good understanding of SQL and databases for basic data analysis.
• Experience with process modeling and tools such as Visio, Lucidchart, Draw.io, or similar.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong stakeholder-management and presentation skills.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Power BI, Excel, or other data visualization tools.
• Knowledge of API concepts and integrations.
• Experience with UAT planning and execution.
• Knowledge of UML, BPMN, or process modeling.
• Experience working with cross-functional and geographically distributed teams.
• Familiarity with tools such as Azure DevOps, MS Visio, Figma, or Miro.
• Experience in a specific domain such as Banking, Finance, Healthcare, Retail, Manufacturing, or E-commerce is an advantage
