Business Analyst

Key Responsibilities

• Gather, analyze, and document business requirements from clients, stakeholders, and end users.
• Conduct stakeholder interviews, meetings, and requirement-gathering sessions.
• Prepare Business Requirement Documents (BRDs), Functional Requirement Documents (FRDs), Business Requirement Specifications (BRS), and user stories.
• Analyze existing business processes and identify gaps, risks, and opportunities for improvement.
• Create process flow diagrams, use cases, workflows, and business process models.
• Translate business requirements into functional specifications for development teams.
• Collaborate with developers, QA testers, project managers, and business stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.
• Perform gap analysis, impact analysis, and root cause analysis.
• Support Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, backlog refinement, and sprint reviews.
• Define acceptance criteria and assist in User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
• Validate delivered solutions against business requirements and report discrepancies.
• Prepare status reports, presentations, and project documentation.
• Monitor project progress and ensure deliverables align with business objectives.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency.

• Ability to gather requirements and communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Knowledge of business process mapping, requirement analysis, and documentation.
• Understanding of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC).
• Familiarity with Agile and Scrum methodologies.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Basic knowledge of SQL and database concepts.
• Familiarity with tools such as Jira, Confluence, Microsoft Visio, or Lucidchart.

Preferred Skills

• Experience preparing BRDs, FRDs, use cases, and user stories.
• Knowledge of wireframing and process modeling techniques.
• Familiarity with Power BI or Tableau for business reporting.
• Understanding of project management methodologies and change management.
• Knowledge of KPI tracking, business metrics, and data-driven decision-making.
• Relevant internship, academic project, or practical business analysis experience.
