Key Responsibilities
- Gather and analyze business requirements from stakeholders.
- Develop and maintain interactive Power BI/Tableau dashboards and reports.
- Write optimized SQL queries to extract and transform data.
- Perform data validation, cleansing, reconciliation, and quality checks.
- Create data models and define business metrics/KPIs.
- Develop calculated measures using DAX and perform advanced Power BI analysis.
- Build and maintain data visualizations that clearly communicate business trends.
- Work with data engineers and technical teams on data pipelines and reporting requirements.
- Identify trends, anomalies, and opportunities through data analysis.
- Automate recurring reports and manual reporting processes.
- Present insights and recommendations to business stakeholders.
- Maintain documentation for dashboards, datasets, metrics, and reporting processes.
Required Skills
- Strong SQL skills.
- Hands-on experience with Power BI or Tableau.
- Strong understanding of data visualization and dashboard design.
- Experience with data modeling, including fact and dimension tables.
- Good understanding of KPIs, business metrics, and analytical concepts.
- Advanced Excel skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Good communication and stakeholder-management skills.
Preferred Skills
- Power BI: DAX, Power Query, Power BI Service, data modeling, row-level security (RLS).
- SQL Server, PostgreSQL, MySQL, Snowflake, or similar databases.
- ETL/ELT concepts.
- Python for data analysis and automation.
- Experience with cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, or GCP.
- Familiarity with Git/version control.
- Knowledge of Agile/Scrum methodologies.
