Key Responsibilities
- Monitor security alerts and events using SIEM tools such as Splunk, Microsoft Sentinel, or QRadar.
- Analyze logs and investigate suspicious activities, malware, phishing, and potential security breaches.
- Perform security incident detection, response, and documentation.
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and coordinate remediation activities.
- Monitor endpoint security tools, firewalls, antivirus, and intrusion detection/prevention systems (IDS/IPS).
- Analyze phishing emails and investigate security incidents.
- Support threat hunting and identify indicators of compromise (IOCs).
- Maintain security policies, procedures, and incident reports.
- Collaborate with IT and network teams to resolve security issues.
- Support compliance requirements and security audits.
Required Skills
- Knowledge of networking concepts: TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP/HTTPS, VPN, and firewalls.
- Understanding of Windows and Linux operating systems.
- Knowledge of SIEM tools and security log analysis.
- Understanding of cybersecurity threats, vulnerabilities, and attack techniques.
- Familiarity with incident response and vulnerability management.
- Basic knowledge of endpoint detection and response (EDR), IDS/IPS, and threat intelligence.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.
