Original job description

Key Responsibilities

Collect, clean, validate, and analyze data from multiple sources.
Develop and maintain reports, dashboards, and data visualizations.
Write SQL queries to extract and transform data from databases.
Analyze business trends, KPIs, and performance metrics.
Identify patterns, anomalies, and actionable insights from datasets.
Prepare recurring and ad-hoc reports for business stakeholders.
Work with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements.
Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and integrity.
Automate repetitive reporting and data-processing tasks where possible.
Present analytical findings and recommendations to stakeholders.
Document data sources, processes, and analytical methodologies.

Required Skills

Strong knowledge of SQL.
Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including PivotTables, XLOOKUP/VLOOKUP, formulas, and data analysis.
Experience with data visualization tools such as Power BI or Tableau.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Understanding of data cleaning, transformation, and validation.
Good knowledge of statistics and analytical concepts.
Strong communication and presentation skills.
Ability to work with large and complex datasets.

Preferred Skills

Python or R for data analysis.
Experience with Power BI/DAX or Tableau.
Knowledge of databases such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, SQL Server, or Oracle.
Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
Experience with ETL/data pipelines and business intelligence tools.
