Key Responsibilities
- Analyze business and technical requirements to understand testing needs.
- Create detailed test plans, test scenarios, test cases, and test data.
- Execute functional, regression, integration, system, and user acceptance testing.
- Identify, document, prioritize, and track software defects.
- Reproduce issues and provide clear defect reports with supporting evidence.
- Collaborate with developers, business analysts, product owners, and other stakeholders.
- Perform API testing and validate application responses where required.
- Conduct database validation using SQL queries.
- Participate in requirement reviews and provide feedback on testability and potential risks.
- Perform regression testing after bug fixes and new releases.
- Maintain test documentation and testing reports.
- Support release validation and production verification.
- Contribute to improving QA processes, standards, and automation practices.
Required Skills
- Strong understanding of Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC) and Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
- Knowledge of manual testing methodologies and QA processes.
- Experience creating and executing test cases.
- Good understanding of functional and regression testing.
- Experience with defect tracking tools such as Jira, Azure DevOps, or similar tools.
- Basic to intermediate SQL knowledge.
- Understanding of REST APIs and API testing.
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong attention to detail and documentation skills.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with automation tools such as Selenium, Playwright, Cypress, or Appium.
- Knowledge of Postman or similar API testing tools.
- Familiarity with Python, Java, or JavaScript for test automation.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and tools such as Jenkins or GitHub Actions.
- Knowledge of Agile/Scrum methodologies.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
