Roles and Responsibilities:
- Analyze business and technical requirements to understand testing needs.
- Prepare test plans, test scenarios, and test cases.
- Perform manual testing, functional testing, regression testing, and integration testing.
- Identify, document, track, and report software defects.
- Perform API testing and database validation.
- Execute automated test scripts using suitable testing frameworks.
- Verify bug fixes and ensure software quality before release.
- Collaborate with developers, business analysts, and product teams.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies, sprint planning, and release testing.
- Maintain test documentation and prepare test execution reports.
- Ensure applications meet quality standards, performance expectations, and user requirements.
Required Technical Skills:
- Manual testing and software testing fundamentals.
- Knowledge of SDLC and STLC.
- Understanding of test case design and defect life cycle.
- API testing using Postman or similar tools.
- SQL queries and database testing.
- Bug-tracking tools such as Jira or Azure DevOps.
- Basic programming knowledge in Python, Java, or JavaScript.
- Familiarity with automation tools such as Selenium, Cypress, or Playwright.
- Knowledge of Git and Agile/Scrum methodologies.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with automated testing frameworks.
- Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and continuous testing.
- Familiarity with performance testing tools such as JMeter.
- Understanding of cross-browser and mobile application testing.
- Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
