About the Role

The Director of Applications Engineering will lead and manage the global Applications Engineering team, support customers throughout the full product lifecycle, and collaborate closely with internal teams to drive adoption of SPARK’s wireless technology and successful product launches.

Responsibilities

Lead and manage the global Applications Engineering team across multiple geographies.
Support customers through pre-sales discussions, evaluations, design-in, product development, and post-sales technical engagements.
Work closely with Sales and customers to understand system requirements and develop solutions using SPARK’s wireless technology.
Drive development of reference designs, application examples, evaluation platforms, and technical collateral.
Lead application-level testing and validation of new product and software releases prior to customer deployment.
Bring customer and market requirements into product definition and internal roadmap discussions.
Collaborate closely with Engineering, Product Management, Sales, and Corporate Marketing to accelerate customer adoption and successful product launches.
Develop the applications organization, processes, and technical capabilities required to support SPARK’s growing global customer base.

Qualifications

BS/MS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
10+ years of relevant experience in the wireless semiconductor industry.
Strong technical background in wireless systems, embedded systems, hardware/software integration, and customer applications.
Demonstrated experience leading an Applications Engineering team across multiple geographies.
Strong customer-facing, problem-solving, communication, and leadership skills.
Experience supporting customers from early technical evaluation through design-in and production.
