Job Title: Software Engineer – AI-Assisted Development
Location: Toronto, ON (Hybrid)
Rate: $52-55/hr (CAD)
Duration: Contract
We are seeking an experienced Software Engineer to develop and maintain high-quality production software for a leading technology organization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, test, and maintain scalable, high-quality software applications.
- Leverage AI coding assistants such as Claude Code, Cursor, and GitHub Copilot in daily development workflows.
- Build client-side applications using JavaScript, TypeScript, React, Redux, Node.js, and NPM.
- Debug complex issues and perform root-cause analysis.
- Develop modular, reusable components and contribute to software architecture.
- Participate in code reviews, Agile ceremonies, and collaborative engineering initiatives.
Must-Have Qualifications:
- 5–6+ years of professional software development experience.
- Strong programming, debugging, and problem-solving skills.
- Hands-on production experience using AI coding assistants daily.
- Strong experience with JavaScript, TypeScript, React, Redux, Node.js, and NPM.
- Experience with Git, GitHub, and production software development.
Preferred: CI/CD, automated testing, Agile methodologies, and modular application architecture.
