Business Analyst II
Location: Toronto, ON
Duration: 12 Months – Possibility of Extension
Work Arrangement: Hybrid – 2 days onsite currently; onsite requirements may change at any time
Pay Rate: $35/hr onwards
Position Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Business Analyst II to support a content migration and validation initiative. The successful candidate will be responsible for comparing migrated content against legacy content, validating functionality, identifying discrepancies, documenting defects, and supporting migration readiness.
This role requires strong testing and validation experience, excellent attention to detail, critical-thinking skills, and the ability to independently identify and communicate issues that could impact customers.
Key Responsibilities
- Compare migrated content against legacy content to ensure accuracy, completeness, and consistency.
- Validate that all required content has successfully migrated from legacy pages to the new site.
- Verify that new-site functionality is working as expected following migration.
- Ensure tables, attachments, procedures, and other supporting content have been successfully transferred.
- Identify missing, incomplete, or inaccurate content, steps, sequencing, and procedures.
- Review migrated content for quality, accuracy, and consistency.
- Identify migration challenges and work through validation and resolution activities.
- Support migration readiness by identifying and addressing scripting-related issues and confirming scripts are functioning correctly.
- Validate identified issues, support fixes, and perform re-testing to confirm successful resolution.
- Document defects clearly and accurately, including relevant details required for resolution.
- Perform thorough testing and re-testing throughout the migration process.
- Apply critical thinking to identify discrepancies that may not be immediately apparent.
- Clearly communicate issues, risks, and challenges to project stakeholders, particularly where errors may impact customers.
- Work independently while managing assigned validation and testing activities within project timelines.
Must-Have Qualifications
- 4+ years of relevant experience in testing, validation, or business analysis.
- 4+ years of experience with OpenText TeamSite and SharePoint.
- Strong experience with content validation and quality assurance.
- Proven experience documenting and tracking defects.
- Hands-on experience with testing and re-testing migrated content or applications.
- Strong written and verbal English communication skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to identify content discrepancies and functional issues.
- Strong analytical and critical-thinking skills.
- Ability to work independently and take ownership of assigned responsibilities.
- Comfortable identifying, articulating, and escalating challenges and errors.
Nice-to-Have Qualifications
- Experience with HTML coding.
- Previous experience supporting content migration or website migration projects.
- Experience working in banking, financial services, or large enterprise environments.
- Experience working with migration scripts and troubleshooting scripting-related issues.
