Original job description

Title: Senior Manager, Customer Segments & Growth (Partnerships & Operations)

Location: Toronto, ON (Hybrid in-office Tue, Thur, Fri)

Duration: 24 Months (possibility of extension/conversion)

Schedule: 9 AM – 5 PM

Pay Rate: 50/hr onwards

Role Overview:

Reporting to the Director, Segments & Growth, the Senior Manager, Customer Segments & Growth Strategy is responsible for leading the strategy and execution of partnerships, sponsorships, and operational initiatives that accelerate growth within the priority segment.
This role will develop and manage strategic partnerships that enhance Client’s value proposition, drive customer acquisition, and strengthen Client’s position as the bank of choice for newcomers. The role will also lead operational initiatives focused on improving efficiency, scalability, and customer experience across the priority segment.
As a people leader, the successful candidate will lead a team responsible for partnership management, operations, and business execution while driving segment performance against key growth objectives.

Typical Day Might Include:

Develop and execute partnership and sponsorship strategies that drive acquisition, awareness, and engagement within the priority segment.
Identify, negotiate, and manage strategic partnerships with external organizations to support business growth objectives.
Build compelling business cases, recommendations, and executive presentations to influence senior stakeholders.
Lead operational excellence initiatives to improve customer experience, business processes, and portfolio performance.
Drive cross-functional execution with Product, Marketing, Frontline, Risk, Operations, and other key partners.
Identify emerging market trends, customer needs, and growth opportunities to inform strategic decision-making.
Establish and monitor KPIs to measure partnership effectiveness, operational performance, and business impact.
Lead and develop a high-performing team while fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and innovation.

Qualifications:

Previous Senior Manager experience preferred
7–10 years of experience in financial services, banking, strategy, partnerships, business development, or operations.
Proven experience developing and managing strategic partnerships and sponsorships.
Strong negotiation, stakeholder management, and influencing skills.
Experience leading complex cross-functional initiatives and delivering business results.
Strong analytical, strategic thinking, and problem-solving capabilities.
Elevated level of partner negotiation
Experience developing business cases, growth strategies, and executive presentations.
Previous people leadership experience considered an asset.
MBA or Master's degree considered an asset.
