Original job description

ServiceNow Systems Administrator (CSA) certification is a must

Contract Duration: 1 year

Contract Dates: November 9, 2026 – October 29, 2027

Extension: Possible, up to 2 additional years

Number of Positions: 1

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM–5:00 PM

On-Call: Required every other week, including evenings and weekends

Overtime: Available with manager approval

Location: Toronto, ON – Hybrid

Work Location: 310–320 Front Street West

Hybrid Schedule: Currently 2 days onsite per week; may increase to up to 4 days onsite based on business requirements

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced ServiceNow Systems Administrator to join an IT Service Management team. This role will be responsible for administering, enhancing, integrating, and supporting ServiceNow solutions across the organization.

The successful candidate will have strong hands-on ServiceNow administration experience, a ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA) certification, and the ability to work across system integration, application development, troubleshooting, and production support.

Key Responsibilities

Design and implement ServiceNow solutions in accordance with established IT Service Management policies, standards, and best practices.
Support the organization's management of incidents, problems, changes, and service requests while considering risk, cost, controls, governance, compliance, and business objectives.
Provide technical leadership and guidance in ServiceNow system integration and application development.
Promote best practices across ServiceNow administration, development, integration, and implementation.
Work closely with clients, project managers, and systems management teams to define requirements and scope.
Provide accurate estimates for project timelines and effort.
Review internal artifacts and deliverables from vendor partners to ensure they meet solution requirements.
Lead or contribute to architecture, design, and code reviews for IT Service Management solutions.
Troubleshoot production and test environments and perform root-cause analysis.
Recommend corrective actions and lead resolution efforts for technical issues.
Perform off-hours maintenance and deployments as required.
Provide 24x7 support to help maintain ServiceNow service availability.
Support code deployments across approximately 15 ServiceNow instances.
Participate in an on-call rotation every other week, including evenings and weekends.

Must-Have Qualifications

5+ years of hands-on ServiceNow Systems Administrator experience
ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA) certification – mandatory
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Strong hands-on experience administering the ServiceNow platform

Nice-to-Have Qualifications

ServiceNow development experience
ServiceNow integration experience
Banking or financial services experience
ITIL 4 certification or experience

Education

Post-secondary education preferred; relevant education or equivalent experience will be considered.

Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate will have:

Extensive hands-on ServiceNow Systems Administration experience
A current CSA certification
Strong ServiceNow platform knowledge
Experience with ServiceNow development and/or integrations
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
Excellent communication and collaboration abilities
Experience working in enterprise IT Service Management environments

Important Note

This position specifically requires ServiceNow Systems Administration experience. Candidates whose background is primarily in general systems administration, such as Microsoft/Windows Systems Administration, without substantial ServiceNow administration experience will not be considered.

CSA certification is a critical requirement for this role.
