Tasks
- Accompany patients on outdoor recreational activities
- Perform other duties related to patient care and comfort
- Perform other duties related to personal care
- Supply and empty bed pans
- Take patients' blood pressure, temperature and pulse
- Serve meal trays and feed patients
- Weigh, lift, turn and position patients
- Make beds and maintain patients' rooms
- Maintain inventory of supplies
- Bathe, dress and groom patients
- Transport patients in wheelchair or stretcher
- Administer first aid in emergency situations
- Provide personal care
- Provide companionship
- Perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties
- Launder clothing and household linens
- Administer bedside and personal care

Responsibilities
Provide personal and bedside care, including bathing, dressing, grooming, feeding, and assisting with patient mobility and positioning. Monitor vital signs, respond to emergencies with first aid, offer companionship, and help maintain patients’ rooms and household linens.
Requirements
A one- to two-year college, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma, or equivalent experience, is listed; experience is an asset. Required credentials include First Aid, CPR, and a Personal Support Worker Certificate, along with a valid driver’s licence, access to a vehicle, and specified background and health checks.
