Original job description
Spectrum Search is partnered with an established legal technology business using artificial intelligence (AI) to expand access to consumer legal services. The company is seeking a Head of Partnerships to develop its partner ecosystem, embed partner services into its products and build a team.
About the opportunity
This profitable business combines an established customer platform with a growing AI product offering. Partnerships are central to its next phase, creating opportunities to strengthen existing relationships, introduce complementary services and develop new distribution channels.
Reporting directly to the CEO, this is a hands-on leadership position with responsibility for partnership strategy, commercial performance and team development. The opportunity suits someone who has delivered product integrations and is ready to build a broader partnerships function.
The role
You will lead the partnerships business, balancing the performance of existing relationships with the development of new opportunities.
Working closely with the CEO and engineering team, you will translate partner propositions into product requirements, oversee delivery and take ownership of adoption and commercial outcomes. You will also develop partner-led distribution for the company’s legal services.
Success will depend on sound commercial judgement, practical product understanding and the ability to turn agreed priorities into measurable results.
Key responsibilities
- Develop and execute a partnerships strategy that grows revenue across existing and new relationships.
- Identify opportunities to integrate partner services into AI-enabled platforms and customer tools.
- Translate partner value into clear objectives, product requirements and delivery priorities.
- Work with engineering and other internal teams to launch integrations and improve adoption.
- Build distribution relationships with institutions and businesses to generate demand for legal services.
- Evaluate partnership economics, commercial viability and opportunities for profitable growth.
- Maintain contractual commitments and strengthen relationships with existing partners.
- Define the team structure, recruit the capabilities required and lead colleagues against clear goals and performance measures.
- Manage senior stakeholders at large institutions while coordinating delivery within a smaller organisation.
Essential requirements
- Demonstrable experience in product-focused partnerships, including integrating third-party services into a platform or product.
- Ability to translate a partner proposition into actionable product requirements and deliver through cross-functional teams.
- Strong commercial judgement, including assessing partner economics and revenue potential.
- Experience recruiting and building a team, defining individual responsibilities and setting measurable objectives.
- Confidence managing senior institutional stakeholders alongside internal product and delivery teams.
- A hands-on approach to developing opportunities, resolving delivery challenges and owning results.
- Direct experience of product partnerships beyond sales, business development or marketing-led relationship management.
Location and remote setup
This is a full-time position based in Toronto, Canada, with hybrid working requiring approximately three days per week in the office.
Visa sponsorship is not available. Candidates must have the right to work in Canada without sponsorship.
