OPTICAL TECHNICIAN/OPTICIAN ASSISTANT

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Optical Technician/Optician Assistant for a full-time/part time position within our dynamic optical practice. This role is essential in supporting the delivery of exceptional eye care services and ensuring a seamless experience for our patients. The successful candidate will assist with optical measurements, lens fitting, and customer service, contributing to our commitment to clarity and vision excellence. Responsibilities

• Assist opticians in measuring, fitting, and adjusting eyewear to ensure optimal comfort and vision correction
• Prepare lenses and frames in the laboratory, utilizing laboratory equipment and techniques with precision
• In house lab work: inserting lab-finished lenses into patients' own frames, checking completed jobs for accuracy, frame adjustments and repairs
• Pre-testing patients for our optometrists
• Provide exceptional customer service by explaining lens options, frame selections, and care instructions clearly
• Maintain accurate patient records, including prescriptions, measurements, and purchase details
• Support retail sales efforts by promoting eyewear products and accessories aligned with customer needs
• Stay informed about the latest optical products, technologies, and industry trends to assist customers effectively
• Collaborate with team members to streamline workflow and enhance patient satisfaction
• Delivering great service n a friendly, fast paced environment

Qualifications

• Prior experience in optical settings or laboratory work is highly desirable
• Filipino/Tagalog is an asset, since we serve many Filipino-speaking clients
• Experience with retail sales or sales-driven environments supports effective customer engagement
• Previous exposure to retail management or supervisory roles can contribute to team leadership capabilities
• Demonstrated ability to learn quickly and adapt to evolving industry standards
