Role: Site Reliability Engineer (SRE)

Location: Toronto / Brampton, Ontario, Canada – Hybrid

Experience: 4+ Years

Required Skills and Qualifications

4+ years of experience in Site Reliability Engineering (SRE), production support, application support, or DevOps.
Experience supporting Java-based applications in production environments.
Good understanding of Java application architecture, application logs, exceptions, and troubleshooting techniques.
Experience with monitoring and logging tools such as Splunk, ELK, Grafana, Prometheus, or similar tools.
Knowledge of Linux/Unix commands, shell scripting, and basic automation.
Understanding of REST APIs, HTTP/HTTPS, networking, and application connectivity.
Experience with incident management, problem management, root cause analysis, and change management.
Basic understanding of databases and SQL for troubleshooting application issues.
Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and application deployment processes.
Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
Good communication skills and the ability to work with cross-functional technical teams.

Good to Have

Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
Knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes.
Familiarity with Jenkins, Git, and automated deployment tools.
Understanding of performance monitoring, capacity planning, and application tuning.
Exposure to Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform.
Experience working in Agile environments and following ITIL-based operational processes.
