  • Manage a discovery-focused portfolio of prospective donors and connectors, with emphasis on outreach, first meetings, qualification conversations and recommended next steps.
  • Conduct donor- and community-facing meetings to introduce Foundation priorities and assess philanthropic interest.
  • Design and execute discovery opportunities such as briefings, tours, physician or program leader introductions, event follow-up and tailored engagement strategies.
  • Prepare concise qualification summaries, contact reports and handoff recommendations for Major Gifts colleagues.
  • Support the AVP, Major Gifts and Campaign Directors in engaging volunteer fundraising leaders and connectors who can open doors to prospective donors.

MANAGEMENT AND INTERNAL LEADERSHIP

  • Lead consistent prospect qualification practices, including clear criteria for assessment, documentation, movement and handoff.
  • Create tools, templates and processes that support effective discovery outreach, qualification notes, prospect handoff and pipeline reporting.
  • Promote a collaborative, donor-centred culture of shared accountability for pipeline growth across the Major Gifts team.
  • Identify opportunities to improve qualification effectiveness, fundraiser readiness and the quality of prospects entering active cultivation.

Other Responsibilities
