Working alongside our Maintenance Team, you'll assist with routine equipment upkeep, general repairs, facility maintenance, material handling and keeping our manufacturing plant clean, safe and organized.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist the Maintenance Team with routine equipment maintenance and general repairs.
- Perform basic repairs, adjustments and upkeep on machinery, equipment and facility areas.
- Clean, lubricate and assist with preventative maintenance on equipment.
- Use hand tools and power tools to complete general maintenance and repair tasks.
- Operate a forklift to move materials, equipment and machinery throughout the plant.
- Assist with shipping, receiving and general material handling.
- Help relocate equipment and maintain an organized, efficient plant layout.
- Perform general facility maintenance, cleaning and housekeeping.
- Support Lean initiatives and continuous improvement throughout the facility.
- Maintain a clean, safe and orderly work environment.
- Mechanically inclined with good practical, hands-on skills.
- Enjoys fixing things, working with tools and figuring out how things work.
- Comfortable using hand tools and power tools.
- Previous experience in handyman work, general maintenance, property maintenance, automotive, manufacturing or a similar hands-on environment is an asset.
- Previous forklift operating experience is required for hire.
- Reliable, self-motivated and willing to take initiative.
- Able to work independently and as part of a team.
- Safety-conscious with a positive attitude and willingness to learn.

Responsibilities
Assist the maintenance team with routine equipment upkeep, basic repairs, preventive maintenance, and general facility maintenance. Operate a forklift, support shipping and receiving and material handling, help organize plant equipment and layout, and maintain a clean, safe workplace while supporting continuous improvement.
Requirements
Candidates should have practical mechanical skills, be comfortable using hand and power tools, and be reliable, self-motivated, safety-conscious, and able to work independently or with a team.
