Stantec is a global engineering consulting firm dedicated to creating sustainable and innovative solutions with a focus on people, value, team spirit, and excellence. The successful candidate will lead our local team in Saint John with support from our team in Atlantic Canada, supported by a wider, regional team of over 200 geotechnical staff.

Your Key Responsibilities

Technical Development: Apply your growing expertise while learning from experienced engineers and contributing to high-quality deliverables. Develop and manage geotechnical investigations including coordination of field teams and subcontractors. Conduct engineering analyses and design for a variety of small to large geotechnical projects related to transportation and infrastructure, power, mining, industrial, commercial and residential developments.
Escape the Office: Perform occasional field work, which may include visual site inspections, monitoring of geotechnical investigation programs, construction monitoring, slope stability assessments, and installation and monitoring of geotechnical instrumentation. Team Collaboration: Coordinate with project teams within New Brunswick, the maritimes and across Canada and contribute to a supportive, growth-focused environment. Mentor and train junior staff to expand our geotechnical engineering and materials team and shape the next generation of engineers and technicians.
