Your Opportunity
You will work on tasks with close guidance and direction from experienced Project Managers. This is a co-op student role as part of the Project Management team within the Buildingâs Engineering group. We are looking for someone with the flexibility to take on a range of tasks from helping with project proposals and setups to executing project plans including scope and finances. We work in the industrial, education, transit, healthcare and civic sectors â weâre interested in someone who wants to take on a variety of work.
Your Key Responsibilities
- Provide general support to project managers and project team members over the life-cycle of a project.
- Use knowledge of the general concepts of relevant project management and engineering elements.
- Prepare reports for relevant projects and opportunities.
- Perform due diligence on projects as required to provide background information to project team.
- Conduct basic interpretations of sketches, drawings, codes, building program and other similar material.
- Review and coordinate discipline inputs to respond to construction shop drawings and RFI’s.
- Assist with field reviews and field visits as applicable to the projects.
- Perform other duties of a similar nature and level as assigned.
Qualifications
Your Capabilities and Credentials
- Highly motivated, willing to work in a team-oriented environment, and ready to commit to Stantec's strategic initiative to be among the top 10 global design firms.
- Excellent communication and problem solving skills are essential, including interpersonal and verbal abilities within a multi-discipline team environment.
- Must be well organized to be able to prioritize multiple tasks and demonstrate a flexible approach to work assignments.
- Software experience including Microsoft Word, Excel & Project; Bluebeam Revu; and AutoCAD and Revit is considered an asset.
Education and Experience
- Enrolled in a project management program in college or university.

Pay Transparency: In compliance with pay transparency laws, pay ranges are provided for positions in locations where required. Please note, the final agreed upon compensation is based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. At Stantec certain roles are bonus eligible. Actual compensation for part-time roles will be pro-rated based on the agreed number of working hours per week.
