Original job description

The North of 60 Engineering team is a vibrant group, focused on delivering innovative solutions for today’s civic challenges throughout the Territories and Western Canada. Building on each other’s talents, we collaborate across all disciplines to execute projects of all sizes and complexities – from roadway, traffic, structural, environmental, water, municipal, and more - to make our communities safer, more resilient, and exciting places to live and work.

We encourage our team to push the limits in an innovative and energetic environment, focusing on developing our team’s skillsets while advancing individual careers. We routinely engage with experts throughout North America, making the most of today’s technology and being the first to create new ones. We have three offices north of 60 - Whitehorse, Yellowknife, and Iqaluit, the capital cities of the Yukon, Northwest Territories, and Nunavut, respectively - serving as hubs for project delivery across the territories. Because our northern teams are lean and deeply connected to the communities they serve, people working north of 60 take on broader roles, gain hands on experience, and contribute across the full life cycle of projects. Here are a couple of links to provide an example of the work you could be involved in:

From all-season road access and highway improvements to bridge crossings, drainage, and related civil infrastructure. Planning resilient transportation systems that are community infrastructure directly support daily life, access to essential to community connectivity, services, housing growth, emergency response, resource development, and long-term economic sustainability.

As part of our North of 60 Engineering team, you will help shape infrastructure solutions in some of Canada’s most complex and meaningful project environments, where engineering, environmental stewardship, Indigenous partnership, constructability, and logistics all come together. Highly organized with excellent time management skills and a commitment to meeting project deadlines and budgets.
Collaborative, detail-oriented, and self-motivated with a positive attitude and a passion for team success.
