Some of what you will do:
The Organizational Development Consultant strengthens organizational effectiveness by building strong partnerships across all business units and with all levels of leaders. They demonstrate exceptional communication, project management, judgement and critical thinking abilities. The OD Consultant will enable strategy through the analysis, design, development, execution, and measurement of organizational development and effectiveness programs.
Key areas of responsibility include Talent Strategy, Leadership Development, Employee Engagement, Performance Management and Succession Planning, the overall employee life cycle as well as Staplesâ employer brand presence on social media.
Specifically, You Will:
Partner with internal and external stakeholders to ensure high quality, impactful execution of the overall Organizational Development strategies. Identify, surface and resolve challenges in key strategies through the analysis of feedback and metrics.
Create business cases, recommendations and propose options to enable a purpose driven culture through our most important assets – our people.
Conduct analysis to assess and diagnose organizational issues, ensure alignment of business goals with organizational design and develop and recommend solutions.
Track and measure effectiveness of various OD programs, systems, tools and procedures and make recommendations for continuous improvement opportunities, while balancing cost/benefit and return on investment for all proposed solution offerings.
Execute and look for ways to continuously improve OD programs such as new hire orientation, core competencies and capabilities, employee engagement survey and supporting programs, Staples’ high-performance framework, leadership development and high potential program.
Apply a thirst for knowledge to stay abreast of technology, social media, organizational development, leadership development and talent management trends, best in class practices and tactics for both related and non-related industries to enhance strategies and solutions.
Map out Talent Management and Employer Brand solutions to create excitement, retention and meet organizational strategies.
Some of what you need:
Post-Secondary education in Organizational Development, Business Administration, Human Resources, Education, Psychology, related discipline or equivalent experience required.
Project management, multi tasking, prioritizing a variety of priorities.
Perform a variety of analysis using metrics and market data.
5-7 years of progressive combined experience in Organizational Development, Talent Management, Leadership Development or a related field.
Knowledge of current Organizational Development principles, practices and tools.
Experience promoting employer brand through social media outlets is an asset.
