At Cleveland Designs, we're not working on ordinary vehicles.

One day, you could be restoring a classic muscle car that hasn't seen the road in decades. The next, you might be helping transform a vintage truck into a modern performance machine or crafting custom bodywork for a one-of-a-kind build. Every vehicle that enters our shop is different, and every project presents a new opportunity to create something remarkable.

This isn't a production environment where the same repair is repeated day after day. Our team works on unique restorations, custom builds, and specialty vehicles that demand creativity, craftsmanship, and attention to detail. As an Automotive Body Technician or Painter, you'll help bring these vehicles to life. From shaping custom metal panels and restoring body lines to laying down show-quality paint finishes, your work will be seen and appreciated long after the project leaves the shop. You'll have the satisfaction of watching a vehicle evolve from a rough idea, a forgotten classic, or a bare shell into something truly extraordinary.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Assembly and disassembly of vehicles
Body work prep
Masking, priming, sanding, buffing & paint
Welding + Metal work
Frame straightening
structural repairs on vehicles
Design, cut, shape, and form sheet metal to create custom body panels, components, and parts for classic and custom vehicles.
Modify and fit pre-existing parts to ensure precise alignment and aesthetic appeal.
Perform MIG, TIG, and spot welding to assemble and secure metal components.
Ensure all welds meet structural integrity and aesthetic standards.
Read and interpret blueprints, sketches, and CAD drawings to accurately fabricate custom parts.
Paint Prep and Painting

Requirements:

Experience as a body Technician
Excellent diagnostic skills, pride in workmanship, team player
Must have a valid drivers’ license and be able to provide an acceptable driver abstract.
Facial hair will interfere with the ability to achieve a proper seal on CSA-approved respirators; therefore, it is a requirement that staff must be clean-shaven. If you are unable to maintain a clean shave where the respirator seals to the face for any reason, please inform us in the form of a request for accommodation.
