Original job description

At Steele Auto Group, work is more than a job. It is a chance to inspire positive impact through every interaction, every vehicle, every journey. Our people are at the heart of it all, because everything we do is driven by you. Your passion. Your purpose. Your potential.

Steele Ford Lincoln is seeking an Experienced Pre-Owned Sales Representative to join our team!

As Nova Scotia's premier Ford and Lincoln dealership, Steele Ford Lincoln offers an exciting environment for automotive sales professionals who know how to build relationships, close deals, and deliver exceptional customer experiences.

We're looking for an experienced automotive sales professional with a strong background in pre-owned vehicle sales who understands the used car market, knows how to recognize customer needs, and can confidently guide buyers through the purchasing process. If you have a proven sales track record, a strong understanding of pre-owned inventory, and the drive to maximize your earning potential, we want to hear from you!

This is an opportunity to bring your existing automotive sales expertise to a high-traffic dealership, grow your client base, and take your career to the next level.

Compensation: Commission-based earning potential of $100,000+ annually!

To support your development, Steele Auto Group guarantees a minimum income of $653.85 per week for up to your first year, unless your commissions exceed that amount.

The Steele Advantage:

Uncapped Earning Potential – Earn based on your performance, with the opportunity to exceed $100,000 annually.
Income Stability – Guaranteed minimum weekly income of $653.85 for up to your first year, unless commissions exceed that amount.
100% Matched Retirement Savings Plan – Put your future at ease with an employer-matched RSP plan, with a maximum of 4% after three months and 5% after five years.
Flexible Health & Dental Plans – Choose from six cost-shared plans tailored to your lifestyle, with dependable coverage for you and your family.
Mental Health & Wellness Support – Access 24/7 confidential support for you and your family through EFAP.
Employee Discounts – Enjoy savings on vehicle purchases, parts, and service at any of our locations.
Access to Steele University – Take advantage of engaging, role-specific training, develop your skills, and earn rewards as you grow.
Career Growth Opportunities – Join a group that invests in its people and encourages professional development and internal advancement.

How you will make an impact:

Leveraging your previous automotive sales experience to build relationships and generate sales opportunities for pre-owned vehicles.
Engaging with customers in person, over the phone, and online to understand their needs, preferences, and budgets.
Showcasing pre-owned inventory, highlighting vehicle features, condition, value, and ownership benefits.
Guiding customers through vehicle selection, product demonstrations, and test drives to help them make confident purchasing decisions.
Applying your knowledge of the used car market to address customer questions, overcome objections, and communicate vehicle value effectively.
Managing leads, following up consistently with prospective buyers, and building a loyal customer base through referrals and repeat business.
Working collaboratively with Finance, Service, and Management to provide a seamless buying experience.
Staying informed about current inventory, market trends, and competitor offerings to identify opportunities and achieve sales targets.

What drives your success:

You have proven experience in automotive sales, with a strong preference for candidates who have sold pre-owned or used vehicles.
You have a track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets and building lasting customer relationships.
You understand the pre-owned vehicle buying process and can confidently explain vehicle features, value, and ownership benefits.
You bring strong negotiation, objection-handling, and closing skills.
You are confident, personable, and professional, with excellent communication skills both in person and online.
You are self-motivated, results-driven, and comfortable working in a commission-based sales environment.
You are organized and able to manage multiple leads, customer follow-ups, and sales opportunities effectively.
You have a strong work ethic, a positive attitude, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
You have a valid driver's license and can provide an acceptable driver's abstract.
