Steele Ford Lincoln is seeking an experienced Finance & Insurance (F&I) Manager to join our team in Halifax, Nova Scotia!

We're looking for a proven automotive finance professional who knows how to drive results, build strong lender relationships, develop customer trust, and maximize profitability while delivering an exceptional vehicle-buying experience.

As an F&I Manager, you'll play a critical role in the dealership's success by managing financing and insurance processes, presenting protection products, structuring deals, and ensuring every transaction is completed accurately and compliantly. You'll work closely with the Sales team, customers, and lending partners to deliver tailored financial solutions while contributing directly to dealership performance.

This is an opportunity for a confident, results-driven F&I professional with established automotive finance experience who can take ownership of the department, thrive in a fast-paced dealership environment, and consistently deliver strong performance.

Compensation: Commensurate with knowledge, skills, experience, and abilities, with performance-based earning potential.

The Steele Advantage:

  • 100% Matched Retirement Savings Plan – Put your future first with an employer-matched RSP plan, with a maximum of 4% after three months and 5% after five years.

  • Flexible Health & Dental Plans – Choose from six cost-shared plans tailored to your lifestyle, with dependable coverage for you and your family.

  • Mental Health & Wellness Support – Access 24/7 confidential support for you and your family through EFAP.

  • Employee Discounts – Enjoy savings on vehicle purchases, parts, and service at any of our locations.

  • Access to Steele University – Benefit from role-specific training, ongoing learning, and opportunities to strengthen your professional skills.

  • Career Growth Opportunities – Join an organization that invests in its people and encourages professional development and internal advancement.

How you will make an impact:

  • Lead Financing and Insurance Processes: Manage the F&I process from deal handover through to completion, ensuring a smooth and professional customer experience.

  • Structure Competitive Financing Solutions: Work with customers to understand their financial needs and present suitable financing and leasing options.

  • Build Strong Lender Relationships: Submit and assess credit applications, work with financial institutions, and secure competitive approvals and terms.

  • Drive F&I Product Performance: Confidently present and sell available protection products, extended warranties, insurance, and other eligible financial products that meet customers' needs.

  • Maximize Profitability: Identify opportunities to improve F&I performance, increase product penetration, and achieve departmental targets while maintaining a customer-first approach.

  • Ensure Accurate Documentation and Compliance: Oversee financing and insurance paperwork, maintain accurate records, and ensure transactions comply with applicable legal, regulatory, and dealership requirements.

  • Collaborate Across the Dealership: Partner with Sales, Management, and other departments to streamline deal flow, resolve challenges, and support overall dealership performance.

  • Deliver Exceptional Customer Experiences: Build trust through clear communication, transparent product presentations, and professional follow-up that supports customer satisfaction and long-term loyalty.

What drives your success:

  • You have proven experience as an F&I Manager in an automotive dealership and understand the demands of a fast-paced retail automotive environment.

  • You have a demonstrated track record of achieving F&I sales targets, growing product penetration, and contributing to dealership profitability.

  • You understand automotive financing, leasing, credit applications, lender programs, and deal structuring.

  • You have experience presenting and selling extended warranties, vehicle protection plans, insurance, and other F&I products.

  • You bring strong negotiation, communication, and relationship-building skills.

  • You are commercially minded, results-oriented, and comfortable balancing profitability with customer needs.

  • You have excellent attention to detail and a strong understanding of documentation, compliance, and ethical sales practices.

  • You are organized, adaptable, and able to manage multiple transactions and competing priorities effectively.

  • You work well with Sales teams, lenders, customers, and dealership leadership to keep deals moving efficiently.

  • You bring a high level of professionalism, accountability, and confidence, with the ability to take ownership of results and continuously improve performance.

Previous automotive F&I management experience is strongly preferred. We're looking for an experienced professional who can step into the role with confidence, manage the full F&I process, build on existing dealership performance, and make a measurable contribution from day one.
