Original job description

At Steele Auto Group, work is more than a job. It is a chance to inspire positive impact through every interaction, every vehicle, every journey. Our people are at the heart of it all, because everything we do is driven by you. Your passion. Your purpose. Your potential.

Colonial Honda is looking for a Sales Representative to join our team in Halifax, Nova Scotia!

With more than 40 years of serving Halifax, Colonial Honda has built a reputation for trust, customer service, and community. Now, we're looking for someone who wants to build their own reputation and career alongside us.

As a Sales Representative, you'll guide customers through their vehicle-buying journey, build lasting relationships, and help them find the right vehicle for their needs. You don't have to fit the traditional idea of an automotive salesperson. We're looking for someone who brings confidence, authenticity, energy, and a genuine desire to help people. Automotive experience is an asset, but the right personality, attitude, and drive matter just as much.

Compensation: Uncapped commission with the potential to exceed $100,000+ annually. For up to your first year, Steele Auto Group guarantees a minimum income of $682.69 per week, unless your commissions exceed that amount.

The Steele Advantage:

Competitive Earning Potential – Uncapped commissions with the opportunity to build a rewarding, long-term career.
Income Stability – Guaranteed minimum weekly income of $682.69 for up to your first year, unless commissions exceed that amount.
100% Matched Retirement Savings Plan – Because your future matters, with an employer match of up to 4% after three months and up to 5% after five years.
Flexible Health & Dental Plans – Choose from six cost-shared plans tailored to your lifestyle, with coverage for you and your family.
Mental Health & Wellness Support – 24/7 confidential support for you and your family through EFAP.
Employee Discounts – On vehicle purchases, parts, and service at any of our locations.
Access to Steele University – Learn anytime, anywhere, develop your skills, track your progress, and earn rewards as you grow.
Career Growth Opportunities – We invest in our people, provide ongoing training, and believe in promoting from within.

How you will make an impact:

Building genuine relationships with customers and becoming a trusted automotive advisor.
Guiding customers through their vehicle-buying journey, from the first conversation to vehicle delivery.
Showcasing Honda vehicles, features, technology, and ownership benefits to help customers make informed decisions.
Conducting engaging test drives and creating memorable customer experiences.
Following up with customers, nurturing relationships, and building a strong personal client base.
Collaborating with Finance, Service, and Management to deliver a seamless customer experience.
Setting goals, managing your sales pipeline, and taking ownership of your results.
Representing Colonial Honda and the Honda brand with professionalism, confidence, and authenticity.

What drives your success:

You are confident and personable, with the ability to connect with different types of people.
You bring strong communication and listening skills, with a customer-first approach.
You are driven, goal-oriented, and motivated to build a successful career.
You are organized and self-motivated, with the ability to manage multiple customers and opportunities.
You are professional and authentic, with a natural ability to build trust.
You have experience in sales, customer service, hospitality, retail, recruiting, or another relationship-focused environment.
You are passionate about learning and willing to develop your automotive knowledge.
You thrive in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment.
You have a valid driver's license.
