Job Title: Industrial Electrician
Location: Oshawa, Ontario, Canada
Department: Maintenance
Rate - $45/hour
Job Description
We are seeking a licensed Industrial Electrician to install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair electrical systems, machinery, and industrial equipment. The candidate will perform preventive and predictive maintenance, diagnose electrical faults, and ensure all work complies with the Ontario Occupational Health and Safety Act and Canadian Electrical Code.
Key Responsibilities
- Install, maintain, and repair industrial electrical systems, wiring, motors, and control panels.
- Troubleshoot electrical faults, PLCs, motor drives, robotics, and automation systems.
- Perform preventive and predictive maintenance on machinery and equipment.
- Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical drawings.
- Maintain power distribution, lighting, instrumentation, and control systems.
- Follow electrical safety procedures, including lockout/tagout and confined-space protocols.
- Ensure compliance with electrical codes, workplace safety standards, and PPE requirements.
- Work rotating shifts and support production and maintenance operations.
Qualifications
- Grade 12 diploma or equivalent.
- Valid Ontario Electrician Certification of Qualification or accepted journeyperson equivalent.
- Experience in industrial electrical maintenance, troubleshooting, and automation.
- Ability to work rotating shifts and perform physically demanding tasks.
- Knowledge of electrical safety standards, lockout/tagout, and industrial equipment.
