Role: Industrial Electrician / Controls Technician
Location - Hamilton, ON
License: Red Seal 442A
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and update electrical drawings and control schematics.
- Program and troubleshoot PLC, HMI, VFD/drive, motor controls, sensors, and relays.
- Develop instrumentation and control system specifications.
- Perform electrical troubleshooting, repairs, testing, and preventive maintenance.
- Inspect electrical/electronic equipment for safety and regulatory compliance.
- Support projects from controls hardware design through PLC programming and commissioning.
- Work with automated systems and industrial process controls.
- Follow all HSE, safety, and regulatory requirements.
Requirements:
- Red Seal 442A Industrial Electrician or Electrical Engineering/Technologist background.
- 6+ years of PLC controls experience.
- Strong Allen-Bradley Logix experience; Siemens S7 is preferred.
- Experience with automation, process control, commissioning, and electrical troubleshooting.
- Able to work independently with strong problem-solving skills.
- Good communication, teamwork, and Microsoft Office skills.
