Original job description
Our client is seeking an Infrastructure Analyst to support the security and resilience of a large, complex enterprise technology environment. This role will focus on strengthening the organization’s infrastructure security posture across on-premise, cloud, data centre, virtualization, and enterprise technology environments. Working across technology, security, project, and business teams, the successful candidate will help identify infrastructure risks, assess security requirements, support security-focused initiatives, and develop practical strategies that improve the organization’s overall security maturity. This is an opportunity for an experienced infrastructure professional who wants to move beyond day-to-day operations and play a meaningful role in a broader security program and enterprise risk environment. If this sounds like you please apply directly or send your resume to info@stellar-recruitment.com.
Responsibilities
- Support the development and execution of infrastructure security strategies and initiatives, ensuring security requirements are incorporated into technology roadmaps, projects, and enterprise architecture decisions.
- Assess infrastructure environments, technologies, and proposed solutions to identify security risks, vulnerabilities, control gaps, and opportunities to improve resilience and protection across cloud and on-premise environments.
- Partner with cybersecurity, infrastructure, architecture, applications, project teams, and external service providers to translate security requirements into practical technical solutions and implementation strategies.
- Contribute to security governance, risk management, standards, and technology controls, helping ensure infrastructure environments align with organizational policies, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices.
- Support infrastructure security projects and transformation initiatives, including cloud adoption, virtualization, data centre modernization, identity and access considerations, backup and recovery, and other enterprise technology programs.
- Develop security assessments, recommendations, technical documentation, and executive-ready reporting that communicate infrastructure risks, priorities, dependencies, and opportunities for continuous improvement.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related discipline, combined with 4+ years of progressive experience in infrastructure, infrastructure security, or enterprise technology environments.
- Strong understanding of infrastructure security principles across Windows Server, VMware/virtualization, Microsoft 365, Azure/cloud environments, data centres, storage, networking, backup/recovery, and enterprise systems.
- Experience assessing security risks, technical requirements, vulnerabilities, controls, and infrastructure architectures, with the ability to develop practical recommendations that balance security, business requirements, and technical feasibility.
- Experience working within large and complex enterprise environments, collaborating across cybersecurity, infrastructure, architecture, applications, project teams, business stakeholders, and external vendors.
- Strong understanding of security governance, risk management, IT controls, change management, business continuity, and infrastructure resilience; experience with ITIL or security frameworks is an asset.
- Excellent communication, analytical, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to translate complex infrastructure and security concepts for both technical and non-technical audiences and influence security outcomes across the organization.
