Ensure that health & safety committees are in place, meeting regularly, and documenting their activities in accordance with OHS requirements.
Proactively identify safety-related risks.
Develop, implement, and audit machine guarding and lockout/tagout (LOTO) programs across automated and robotic production lines.
Liaise with external parties, including government inspectors, sub-contractors, and the public, and represent Stelumar at stakeholder meetings on workplace health and safety matters.
Partner with Facilities to coordinate safety requirements for contractors and vendors and to align on building systems (e.g., fire/life safety, HVAC, electrical) affecting worker and site safety.
When required, assist management with sourcing, training, onboarding, and hiring Health and Safety Representatives.
Manage Safety Data Sheets (SDS) for all controlled products.
Manage WSIB claims and the modified duties and return-to-work programs.
Other duties as assigned.

What you bring

Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
Detail-oriented, with strong organizational, time-management, and communication skills (written and verbal).
Adaptable and self-motivated, able to build consensus and work effectively both independently and with diverse teams across changing environments.
Willingness to travel regularly between Stelumar's GTA facilities and active construction sites, and to spend significant time on an operating factory floor in required PPE.
