Original job description
Stem Health is reimagining healthcare through a proactive, personalized lens - blending advanced diagnostics, evidence-based medicine, and elevated client experiences in a thoughtfully designed clinic. Our approach puts patients at the center of a high-touch, multidisciplinary care model. From preventive health assessments to ongoing care, we help clients live longer, healthier, more vibrant lives.
We launched virtually on March 2, 2026 and are opening our flagship Toronto clinic in September 2026.
Role Summary
We are seeking a forward-thinking Registered Dietitian to join our integrated care team. This role is ideal for a practitioner who combines strong clinical judgment with a collaborative mindset and a client-first approach. You'll work alongside physicians, nurse practitioners, and other specialists to translate diagnostic insights into personalized nutrition strategies - meeting with clients during their Annual Health Assessments and follow-up care, and providing evidence-informed guidance tailored to their health goals and lifestyle.
This is a two-phase engagement. Phase 1 (July 2026) is a 10–15 hour virtual consulting project to design the clinical nutrition program ahead of clinic launch. Phase 2 (October 2026 onward) transitions into in-clinic and virtual patient care.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct one-on-one consultations with clients as part of their preventive health assessment and ongoing care
- Develop customized nutrition plans based on diagnostic results, lifestyle factors, and individual health goals
- Translate complex clinical data into simple, actionable strategies clients can follow long-term
- Collaborate with physicians, NPs, and allied health providers to deliver cohesive, coordinated care plans
- Staff the Annual Health Assessment (AHA) nutrition station - assess, counsel, and document
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic health record (EHR)
- Stay current on research and best practices in nutrition, preventive health, and metabolic optimization
- Participate in case reviews, team huddles, and program development initiatives
- (Phase 1) Design nutrition care pathways, intake protocols, screening tools, and the program blueprint for clinic launch
- Registered Dietitian (RD) designation in good standing with the College of Dietitians of Ontario
- Minimum 3 years' experience in a clinical or wellness setting - executive health, sports medicine, or preventive care preferred
- Strong understanding of chronic disease prevention, metabolic health, and therapeutic nutrition
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills - able to build rapport and trust quickly
- Experience working within an interdisciplinary team
- Comfortable with digital health tools and EHR systems
- Interest or experience in program design, clinical pathways, or intake protocol development is a strong asset
- A beautiful, wellness-forward clinic environment with a hospitality approach to care
- Spend time getting to know your patients without rushing through appointments
- Dedicated support from clinical and administrative teams
- Opportunities to shape client education, clinical programming, and thought leadership
- A collaborative, high-performance team culture rooted in compassion and innovation
- The chance to be a founding clinical voice in building Stem Health's nutrition program from the ground up
