Original job description

Abbotsford Nissan, part of the Steve Marshall Group, is looking for a professional and friendly Part-Time Receptionist to join our team. This position offers approximately 32–36 hours per week and is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working with people and being part of a fast-paced automotive environment.

The successful candidate will serve as a welcoming point of contact for the dealership while providing administrative support to help keep daily operations running smoothly. We are looking for someone who is organized, personable, professional, and able to confidently manage multiple priorities.

Role Summary:

The Receptionist plays a key role in creating a positive first impression for customers and visitors. This position manages the front desk, answers phones, supports customer interactions, and assists with general administrative tasks in a fast-paced automotive environment. The ideal candidate is professional, courteous, and able to handle multiple priorities while supporting dealership operations.

Key Responsibilities:

Greet and welcome customers, clients, vendors, and staff in a professional and friendly manner.
Answer, screen, and route incoming phone calls and emails promptly and courteously.
Direct customers to the appropriate departments (Sales, Service, Parts, or Finance) and ensure they are attended to promptly.
Assist with administrative tasks such as filing, data entry, document preparation, and scanning contracts or work orders.
Receive and process incoming and outgoing mail, packages, and deliveries.
Maintain an organized and professional reception area that reflects the dealership’s brand.
Assist Sales, Service, and Parts departments as needed with administrative support or customer follow-up.
Maintain confidentiality of customer, employee, and dealership information.
Monitor and manage customer waiting areas, including refreshments and communication updates.

Qualifications & Requirements:

High school diploma or equivalent required; post-secondary education an asset.
Previous experience in a receptionist, administrative, or customer service role, preferably in a dealership or retail environment.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and dealership management software (DMS) an asset.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
Professional appearance and demeanor suitable for customer-facing role.
Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment while maintaining attention to detail.
