A specialized pharmacy focused on customized, patient-specific medications that aren’t commercially available is looking for a Pharmacy Manager to join their team.

The organization works closely with physicians and healthcare providers to develop formulations for specialty medications. With over 200 employees, this national organization continues to grow and provide a variety of service and product offerings, and its presence in Edmonton is growing with a new state-of-the-art compounding facility.

Compensation

$110K-$125K* commensurate with experience, plus a generous healthcare spending account, a wellness allowance, an RRSP matching program, and a comprehensive range of additional benefits and perks.

*The stated compensation range reflects the full scope of the role as currently structured and is provided in accordance with pay transparency requirements. Offers are determined based on relevant experience, demonstrated skills, internal equity, and alignment with the role’s requirements. The upper end of the range is typically reserved for candidates who fully meet all requirements and qualifications outlined in this posting and the official job description.

The Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Pharmacy Manager to oversee operations within a highly specialized facility featuring a state-of-the-art compounding laboratory dedicated to the preparation of high-cost medications and specialty pharmaceuticals. This is a full-time, permanent position with consistent hours of Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with no weekend or evening requirements.

If you value stability and are seeking an opportunity to be challenged and thrive in a focused, analytical role outside of a typical retail or hospital setting, then this position may be an excellent fit for you.

  • Oversee proper documentation, record retention, and audit readiness
  • Monitor environmental controls and ensure compounding conditions meet required sterility and safety standards
  • Investigate and document deviations, discrepancies, or out-of-specification results, implementing corrective actions as needed
  • Collaborate with technicians and compounding staff to maintain workflow efficiency while upholding strict quality standards
  • Participate in continuous quality improvement initiatives and process optimization
  • Provide professional oversight and ensure all operations align with patient safety and best pharmacy practices
  • Address any issues with dispensing activities and patient care
  • Ensure prescriptions are billed correctly to public and 3rd party payers
